Class of 1942 Capping Ceremony. In the living room of Mary Kirkland Hall. Frances Helen Zeigler, Dean, Vanderbilt School of Nursing; Miss Carra Lou McCaskill, Presidnet, Vanderbilt Nurses' Alumni Association; Miss Edna Hancock, President, Senior Class, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

This building was named the "School of Nursing Building” until 1934, when it was renamed to “Mary Kirkland Hall.” In 1958, the building was renamed to “Mary Henderson Hall,” and the name changed once again in 1971 to “Mary Ragland Godchaux Hall.
